They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and soon that’s how you will be communicating on Tinder. Right now Tinder’s messaging feature is rather basic, in the sense that all you can do is send and receive messages, nothing more, nothing less, but like we said that will soon change.

Tinder has recently announced that they have teamed up with GIPHY which means that users can now send GIFs as messages to their matches. If you’re wondering why this sounds familiar, it is because GIPHY is also available on other messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, so if you’ve used that before then this should be a pretty familiar process.

On top of that, Tinder will also allow users to “like” messages from other users, so if someone sent you a particularly clever or humorous pickup line, you can go ahead and “like” it to show your appreciation. Aside from changes made to the messaging feature, Tinder has also changed the way you create profile photos.

Previously, you could only choose profile photos from those that you uploaded to Facebook, but now with the update, users can choose photos directly from their camera roll. They have also made profile photos and cards larger for easier viewing. The update is already available so fire up the app and check it out if you haven’t done so already.
