lumia 650 renderThe Lumia 650 is a Microsoft smartphone that we have been hearing about for a while now. So far Microsoft has somewhat confirmed the existence of the device, although until now we have yet to see an official announcement. That being said, it seems that we could be inching closer towards one.

According to a tweet by @evleaks, he has managed to get his hand on what appears to be a press rendering for the upcoming handset. The rendering just shows the front of the phone, but apart from that it’s not particularly remarkable. It does however seem to be in line with earlier leaked renders, and given @evleaks’ track record, it could be the real deal.

Once again it’s really anyone’s guess as to when the phone will be launched. MWC 2016 will be taking place towards the later part of February, and that does seem like a bit too long of a wait, but at the same time it makes sense as well. Then again, the Lumia 650 (based on its rumored specs) doesn’t seem like a particularly high-end phone, so having an event dedicated to it would be silly.

In any case hopefully we’ll hear something soon. In the meantime @evleaks also seemed to hint that previous rumors of the Lumia 650 being the “last Lumia” could be true, in which we can only hope that Microsoft will finally launch the rumored Surface Phone that we have been hearing about for so long.
