LG-V10-11

LG V10 owners have a new software update to look forward to today and it’s one that many of them might have been waiting for a very long time. Verizon has updated its support page for the handset to confirm that it’s going to roll out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the LG V10 today. The Marshmallow update for this handset brings several new features and improvements.

Some of the new features in this update include Doze mode which optimizes battery power when the device is not being used, better app permissions, silent mode sound profile, improved notifications experience and more. Users will also notice tweaks to the interface and skin so visual changes are onboard as well.

Verizon hasn’t revealed just how big this update is but given that it’s a major one, it’s likely that Marshmallow for V10 will come in at around a gigabyte. Make sure you have plenty of juice in the battery and a Wi-Fi connection before downloading the update, however assuming that you have enough data in your plan, Verizon does allow you to download the update on a cellular connection.

Even though today has been mentioned as the release date for LG V10 software version VS99022A, it may take up to a couple of days for this update to go live for all Verizon users, so a little patience will certainly go a long way.
