It was at the end of last month that we brought you news on how Google’s self-driving car actually hit a bus, and Google did do the right thing by admitting to their mistake. Well, since a picture speaks a thousand words, how many more volumes can be “read” in the form of a video? Here we are with a video that depicts Google’s self-driving car “kissing” a bus.

This crash happened on, of all days, Valentine’s Day, when Google’s self-driving car hit the side of a public bus in the Silicon Valley city of Mountain View. Thankfully, there were cameras on the bus that managed to record what went on, where it also showed the reactions of the passengers and driver.

The Lexus SUV used by Google to get around autonomously does come with its fair bit of sensors as well as cameras, too, which allows it to get around by itself, where it made its way to the bus’s path that was not going too fast at all – in fact, it was plodding along at a turtle-like 15 mph. The video and post-crash photos were released by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority this week, in accordance toa public records request.

The damage? A crumpled front left side, a flat tire, and a missing radar which was installed earlier on on the Lexus SUV.
