linkedin_studentsBy now we’re sure many working professionals have at least heard of LinkedIn if they aren’t using it already. Compared to Facebook or Twitter, LinkedIn is a social network that focuses more on connecting working professionals with other professionals, so if you’re looking for someone in a particular industry or if you’re trying to look for a job, LinkedIn is the place to be.

Now it is admittedly not the most “fun” social network since it tends to be rather serious/professional, but it looks like the company is trying to do something about it and has since launched a new app called LinkedIn Students. This app isn’t so much about connecting students with other students, but rather it sounds like it will help students get ready for their careers.

According to the app’s description, “Introducing LinkedIn Students, the new app to discover and launch your career. LinkedIn Students will help you explore career paths and tackle your job search with confidence. And that’s just the beginning.” It will allow students to explore various job roles based on their education, as well as give them access to articles on career advice that are written for students in mind, and so on.

Students will also be able to see which companies tend to hire students from your school, so you know that if you apply to them you might have a better chance of getting a job. If you’re interested in checking out the app, hit up the iTunes App Store or Google Play for the download.
