samsung logoThere have been rumors that Samsung could be planning an earlier-than-expected launch of the Galaxy Note 6 (or Note 7 if the rumors are to be believed). There have also been a plethora of leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming wearable in the Gear Fit 2, so the question is when can we expect to hear the official word?

Turns out we won’t have to wait too long because according to a recent invite Samsung has been handing out, the company will be hosting an event on the 2nd of June in New York where we expect new products to be announced. Now as pointed out by Phandroid, this isn’t an Unpacked event which Samsung typically uses to announce new phones.

What this means is that this event could be focused on other products instead, like the upcoming Gear Fit 2. However oddly enough the event does mention the term “Galaxy” not just once, but twice, which we have to wonder if it could be Samsung’s way of teasing new devices. However previous rumors indicated that if the next-gen Galaxy Note were to be announced, it would happen in July and not June.

In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Samsung has in store for us, so do remember to check back with us on the 2nd of June for the details.
