It seems that we are slowly inching towards a future where cyborgs – part human, part machine – will become a reality. Just last month we reported how the bionic arm from Metal Gear Solid V inspired an actual prosthetic arm that looked and moved like its video game counterpart. It seems that this has started us down a pretty amazing trend.

Eidos-Montreal has recently announced that they are working with Open Bionics, a company that specializes in low-cost prosthetics to develop prosthetic arms that are inspired by the Deus Ex franchise. One of the arms will be based on Adam Jensen from the Mankind Divided title, and the other from a wider Deus Ex universe.

The designs will be royalty free and will be released next year, so that companies or developers interested in making them a reality will have the means to do so, or at least as far as the designs are concerned. These arms look pretty damn futuristic and not to mention pretty articulate, although the extent of its features remains unknown.

Now if you are planning on attending E3 or Gamescom 2016, it seems that these arms will be demoed and attendees will get to take them for a spin, thanks to Intel’s RealSense technology and Razer’s Stargazer webcam that will be used to track their movements.
