apple-iphone-8-dual-curve-displaySo far all signs are pointing to the fact that this year’s iPhone won’t exactly be the brand new refresh that we’ve come to expect, which is admittedly disappointing. However for those of you who can wait till 2017 or don’t mind shelling out for another iPhone in 2017, that is the year that supposedly brings the game changing iPhone we’ve been waiting for.

In fact according to IHS Technology’s director of market research Kevin Wang, he claims that a source has revealed to him that the 2017 iPhone is expected to feature dual curved displays on its sides, kind of like the Galaxy Note Edge series from Samsung. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors about a curved iPhone, although last we heard it was rumored for 2018 not 2017.

What we have heard about the iPhone 8 in 2017 is that it will sport an OLED display, an all-glass body, and an edgeless display (which we’re starting to wonder if it could mean curved displays). In any case given that this is just a rumor, do take it with a grain of salt for now, but as the market and technology matures, getting brand new and exciting features is harder to come by.

This is why there are also rumors that say that Apple might consider moving to a 3 year refresh cycle instead of an annual one that they’ve been doing for the past 9 years or so.
