Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One S nearly two months ago. It’s an improved iteration of the Xbox One, it’s lighter and thinner than its predecessor and also comes with multiple tweaks that improve the overall experience. Pre-orders have been open for several weeks now and those who ordered a 2TB Xbox One S will be delighted to know that Microsoft has confirmed that these units are now shipping.

The Xbox One S happens to be 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One. It also features support for 4K video playback and can handle Ultra HD Blu-ray discs as well. A slightly redesigned controller in included in the box as well.

Pre-orders for the $299 500GB model and the $349 1TB model opened soon after the updated console was announced. Microsoft has previously confirmed that the Xbox One S is going to on sale officially on August 23rd. The company has also revealed some of the Xbox One S bundles that customers will be able to purchase once the console goes on sale.

The 2TB Xbox One S costs $399 and as per the emails Microsoft is sending out to pre-order customers, their units have now started shipping and they should expect them to arrive by Tuesday, August 2nd.
