Asus hasn’t been the quickest of OEMs to come out with the Marshmallow update even though it’s been close to a year since this Android update was released. Marshmallow is actually on the brink of being outdated as Google puts the final touches on Android Nougat and gets its ready for release in the coming weeks. Asus has finally released Marshmallow for the ZenFone Zoom and the ZenFone Selfie.

Asus has detailed the Marshmallow update for the ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Selfie on its blog, the changelog mentions the improvements that this update makes to the devices and also mentions the list of apps that will be removed once the device is updated.

Apps that will be removed from the Asus ZenFone Zoom include Google Play Books, Games, and Newsstand. ZenFlash, Google+, and Asus Backup will also be removed from the handset. The bloatware removal list is even longer on the ZenFone Selfie, with apps like Dr. Eye, Omlet, and Mirror also being removed.

However, that’s not something most users will be concerned with. They will just be happy that their devices are getting updated to Marshmallow which brings features like Doze mode, improved notifications experience, user interface tweaks, overall performance and stability tweaks, and more.
