iPhone6s-2Up-HeroFish-PR-PRINTA report from back in April this year suggested that Apple had an all-glass iPhone in the works for 2017. If you’re wondering how legit those rumors are, we suppose they’re as legit as rumors come, but it looks like they’re being reinforced thanks to a report from Nikkei (via The Next Web) that claims that Foxconn is currently working on all-glass casings for the iPhone.

According to the report, apparently this is something the company has been working on for a year. An all-glass iPhone isn’t new as we have seen Apple attempt that in the iPhone 4/4S, which we have to say is one of the more beautifully designed iPhones we’ve seen to date. The report also claims that Apple is turning to the use of an all-glass design to help boost sales and renew interest in the iPhone.

While we’re not sure a redesigned iPhone will do the trick, iPhone sales have been on the decline over the past half a year or so. It is possible that this could be due to the smartphone market maturing, and also the fact that there are tons of Chinese OEMs who are offering up handsets with high-end specs and builds for a much lower price.

In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but in the meantime how do you guys feel about an all-glass iPhone? Yay or nay?
