So far pretty much everything we’ve heard and seen so far regarding Google’s upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are based on rumors and speculation. However it looks like those rumors and speculations might have been proven true, thanks to a recent Nest ad that aired in the Netherlands.

The folks at Android Police were recently tipped to a Nest ad that aired in the Netherlands and while such ads are common, what made this ad particularly interesting was the fact that Nest might have accidentally let the cat out of the bag regarding the Pixel phones. Around the 9 second mark, you see a woman holding a white phone that might seem unfamiliar.

At the 11-12 second mark, you briefly see a phone with what appears to be a two-toned back which is similar to photos of the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones that were recently leaked. Upon zooming in, it does appear to be the same device, although admittedly the footage is a bit blurry.

Given that Nest and Google are under the same parent company, Alphabet, we guess it makes sense that Nest might have gotten their hands on the Pixel and Pixel XL at some point, maybe for testing purposes, but in any case we guess this is pretty much the closest thing to an official reveal we’ve gotten so far.
