oneplus_3_002It has been rumored that OnePlus could have a slightly upgraded model of the OnePlus 3 in the works called the OnePlus 3T. We assumed that in terms of pricing, the handset would most likely replace the OnePlus 3 which means that it should cost roughly the same, but apparently we were wrong.

In a tweet by Evan Blass, he revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 3T is expected to cost more than its predecessor by around $80. We know many users can’t be too thrilled about having to pay more, but given that the OnePlus 3 is already relatively affordable considering its specs, paying an extra $80 isn’t too much to ask, right?

So far not much is known about the OnePlus 3T save for the rumors that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. We have previously heard that the Snapdragon 821 is considerably more expensive than the Snapdragon 820, which might explain why the OnePlus 3T could be priced higher to help offset the cost.

Other than that, not much else is known about the OnePlus 3T. It has recently been spotted at China’s CCC so we do know that at the very least OnePlus has a potentially new phone in the works, but hopefully we will have the official details soon.
