moto-z-daydreamIf you own either the Moto Z or the Moto Z Force, you’ll be pleased to learn that Motorola has announced on its blog that starting this week, the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be making its way onto both handsets. From what we can tell it seems to be a global rollout so regardless of where you are, you should be able to expect the update soon.

“Last month, we told you Android 7.0 Nougat would be making its way to several of our smartphones before the end of the year, including Moto Z. Well, we have some good news…the wait is over! We’ll begin rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat globally to Moto Z and Moto Z Force this week.”

In addition to the Android 7.0 Nougat update, the update is also expected to make both the Moto Z and Moto Z Force Daydream compatible. This means that both phones are now considered to be VR-ready, at least by Google’s standards, and will also be compatible with other Daydream devices like headsets.

Of course you will need to purchase accessories and add-ons like the Google Daydream View VR headset, but if VR is a feature that you are looking forward to then perhaps this update is something worth looking forward to.
