lg-ultrafine-availableIf you were looking forward to getting a new display to go along with your new MacBook Pro from Apple, you’ll be pleased to learn that Apple is now officially accepting orders for the 5K LG UltraFine displays on their website. The display was announced last month and it looks like it is finally up for grabs.

The display has been priced at $974 and if you’re wondering why they seem cheaper than what Apple advertised, it is because if you recall, earlier this month Apple announced that they would be discounting the displays along with USB-C accessories to help make the transition process smoother and cheaper for new MacBook Pro customers.

This is essentially a 25% discount on the original price but note that this is only valid until the end of the year, so you will want to move quickly if you want to take advantage of it. Given that you’ll end up saving around $325 in the process, this is a pretty sweet deal and one of the bigger discounts we’ve seen Apple give in more recent times.

Note that the shipping estimates for the displays are set at 6-8 weeks, meaning that you’ll probably only receive them either towards the end of the year, or early next year, but you can still go ahead and place your order to lock in the price.
