oneplus_3_001The OnePlus 3 which was launched earlier this year was also one of the few smartphones available in the market with 6GB of RAM. Apart from some hiccups at the start in which the phone did not seem to be utilizing all that memory efficiently, the upgrade in RAM from before was still a very much welcome feature.

That being said, OnePlus could be taking things to the next level with the rumored OnePlus 3T. According to a report from Phandroid, it seems that the upcoming phone might come with 8GB of RAM under its hood. This puts it way ahead of many smartphones in the market today, such as the Google Pixel which only packs 4GB of RAM. It also puts it on par with many laptops who offers 8GB of RAM by default.

Why the phone would require this much RAM is anyone’s guess, but at the same time it doesn’t hurt to have more, right? Other rumored specs of the phone include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset which Qualcomm themselves seemed to have teased. The handset is expected to be announced on the 15th of November, according to a OnePlus teaser they have released themselves.

So if you are after a new phone that won’t break the bank, do check back with us next week for the official details.
