Battlefield 1 was one of the most highly anticipated titles of this year and it’s safe to say that the game lived up to the expectations of fans. EA will continue to release post-launch content for Battlefield 1 in the months to come. It has released a new trailer today detailing the free Battlefield 1 DLC map called Giant’s Shadow. The trailer sheds some light on what players can expect to get out of this map.
The Giant’s Shadow map for Battlefield 1 has previously been described by EA as being set during the Battle of the Selle in France. Players will encounter a mix of armored trains, horses, and planes in this map.
Those who have already played the game’s single-player campaign mode will immediately recognize this map. The trailer also shows that there’s going to be a new weapon included in this DLC. It’s a crossbow that doubles as a grenade launcher.
It has been confirmed today that Giant’s Shadow is going to be released for all Battlefield 1 players on December 20th. However, Battlefield 1 Premium members will be able to get their hands on the map a week earlier on December 13th.
Battlefield 1 players can expect to get more post-launch DLC content in the coming months.
