Earlier this year, Transformers 5: The Last Knight was officially announced for a release in 2017. This is the fifth and latest installment in the Transformers movie franchise and if you’re wondering what to expect, the latest trailer for the upcoming movie has been released and you can check it out for yourself in the video above.
The upcoming movie will be once again directed by Michael Bay and will star Anthony Hopkins, and will also see the return of Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, and Josh Duhamel, just to name a few. According to the movie’s description, “Optimus Prime finding his home planet, Cybertron, now a dead planet, which he comes to find he was responsible for killing. He finds a way to bring the planet back to life, but in order to do so he needs to find an artifact, and that artifact is on Earth.”
Bay’s take on the Transformer franchise has attracted quite a bit of criticism in the past, but we guess he must be doing something right for the studios to keep using him for the movies. The movie is expected to be released on the 23rd of June, 2017, and so far the trailer does a good job at hyping it up. Will it be able to do better than the previous movies? We guess we’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime who else is excited to check it out?
