ASUS today unveiled its latest PC which you can actually take with you should you really need to as it’s a very compact machine. That doesn’t mean it’s now powerful. The new ASUS VivoPC X is a VR-ready Windows 10-powered computer that weighs just under 5 pounds. It has decent specs and a robust NVIDIA graphics card that’s going to be enough for most virtual reality experiences.

The ASUS VivoPC X is powered by Intel’s Kaby Lake Core i5 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The graphics load is handled by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 which can easily power most virtual reality experiences.

Do keep in mind that if you want more graphics-heavy VR experiences then you’d probably be better off with a PC that has an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or 1080 graphics card. If that’s not what you’re looking for, rest assured that the VivoPC X is capable of handling conventional VR experiences.

The VivoPC X also features four USB 3.1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports for VR controllers and accessories, two HDMI port, and a DisplayPort. The PC features side vents that circulate air inside and it also has a special heat pipe inside that helps keep things nice and cool.

Asus will start selling the VivoPC X from March this year for $799.
