So the first Nokia Android handset out of the door was the Nokia 6, which according to the reports sold out in under a minute in China. This is clearly not the only Nokia handset in the works as we have heard rumors about a certain Nokia 8, and now it looks like we can expect a Nokia 5.
According to the latest leak posted on Weibo, the alleged specs of the Nokia 5 have been revealed. If the leak is accurate, it would suggest that the Nokia 5 is a low-end handset, but perhaps that could be Nokia and HMD’s strategy in which they want to create phones that appeal to customers across the board.
So what are we looking at? We’re looking at a 5.2-inch HD display and under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 can be found. The phone is said to be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, possibly 16GB of onboard storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 7MP front-facing camera, both of which are capable of Full HD video capture.
That being said there is expected to be a high-end Nokia phone as well. The rumors are saying it will be the Nokia P1 which last we heard could be powered by a Snapdragon 835, but either way check back with us next month for the official details.
