Google Home is a great resource for controlling compatible smart devices like TVs or speakers and it’s already supported by several big manufacturers. Vizio today announced that all of its SmartCast products are now compatible with the Google Home platform. The company’s SmartCast products including TVs, speakers, surround-sound systems, soundbars, and more.

Most of Vizio’s products are very competitively priced and offer great value for money. With compatibility for Google Home, they will make it even easier for users to control them and cast content from apps like Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube, Netflix, and more to supported TVs and speakers.

Google Home allows users to do all of that by using voice commands only. This is a nice feature but users may find that it doesn’t work flawlessly all of the time. Still, it’s better to have this functionality than to not have it at all.

All of Vizio’s compatible products have Chromecast built-in which means that content can easily be casted from a smartphone or compatible device via Google Home. Supported services include YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, Google Photos, and more.

Users can then use simple voice commands to adjust the volume, stop and skip music tracks, and even power up the TV by asking Google Home to play content on the big screen as long as the Quick Start Power Mode function is enabled on Vizio TVs.
