If you’re a fan of GoPro’s camera offerings and you’re hoping to see new products this year, you might be pleased to learn that GoPro has confirmed that they will be launching the HERO6 camera later this year. If you’re wondering why would anyone doubt that this would happen, there are a couple of reasons.

One of which is the fact that the GoPRO HERO5 ran into production issues last year, and let’s not forget that GoPro also had some problems with regard to its Karma drones and that it is finally going back on sale. All of this resulted in a loss of $116 million which we guess is kind of worrying. However it seems that the company has not deviated from their plans.

In a transcript by SeekingAlpha, GoPro’s CEO Nick Woodman was quoted as saying during the company’s latest financials, “Yes, we can confirm there will be new cameras and other accessories released during the year and new camera namely being HERO6. But we’re not going to share any information as to the timing or any other details around the release of those new products as you can imagine.”

However as Woodman states, details about the camera will be shared at a later date, which we’re not sure when that will be. While the HERO5 did run into its issues, the camera does come packed with quite a lot of features that GoPro customers have been asking for over the years, so with the HERO6, what would you like to see from the company?
