In GoPro’s more recent cameras, the company introduced a front-facing display. However, these displays mostly only displayed information like battery life, recording time, video settings, and so on. We’re sure that there are some users who might prefer if that display could be used for recording as well.

Turns out we might be getting our wish because according to a leak posted by WinFuture.de, it seems that GoPro’s upcoming Hero 9 camera is expected to come with a front-facing color display that will also act as a secondary screen so that users can see what they’re recording when the camera is pointed towards them.

This is something we’re sure that many users, especially vloggers, might appreciate since it ensures that they are always kept in the frame. Interestingly enough, GoPro wouldn’t be the first company in recent times to create a camera aimed at vloggers. Sony had recently launched a new compact camera in the form of the ZV-1 that is also aimed at the vlogging crowd.

Other rumored features of the GoPro Hero 9 include the ability to shoot 5K video and also fold-out mounting arms on the bottom that allows it to attach to mounts without the need for extra housing or accessories. There’s no word on the launch, but based on the clean renders we’re seeing, we wouldn’t be surprised if it were to launch soon.
