Battlefield 1 is no doubt a great game but if you’ve read all of the reviews and seen all of the gameplay videos but still haven’t purchased it, perhaps a free trial is going to change your mind. Electronic Arts has confirmed that a Battlefield 1 free trial for Xbox One and PC will be live this weekend. You might be thinking that I missed one console but I haven’t. The free trial hasn’t been announced for the PlayStation 4 by EA.

Battlefield 1 free trial on Xbox One will let players experience multiplayer and single-player with no restrictions but they will require an Xbox Live Gold membership. PC gamers will face some restrictions, though.

PC players will only get access to two multiplayer maps and just one single-player campaign chapter. That’s not all. Overall play time has been capped at ten hours. That might feel a bit unfair, but it is what it is.

All of the progress that players make during the free trial will stay with their account after the trial is over. They will be able to pick up right where they left off if they later decide to buy the game. EA has marked down the digital copy of Battlefield 1 to $30 as part of a week-long sale. As previously mentioned, this trial has not been announced for the PlayStation 4 as yet.

This isn’t the only Battlefield 1-related announcement that EA made recently. Yesterday it revealed all four Battlefield 1 expansions that will be out in the coming months.
