With the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ rumored to sport display sizes that are encroaching Note territory, it is pretty obvious that Samsung needs to do something that will set the Note series apart from the Galaxy S-lineup, and it seems that early Note 8 rumors have revealed that Samsung will be kicking things up a notch in the display department.

In a report out of China (via PhoneArena), alleged specs of the upcoming Note 8 have been revealed and if they are any accurate, the Note 8 is rumored to sport a whopping 6.4-inch display. At the moment there aren’t that many phones that have crossed the 6-inch mark, but Samsung could be headed there.

The rumors are also claiming that we can expect a 4K display which would be a first for a Samsung smartphone. In fact just like a 6.4-inch display, there aren’t that many phones in the market today with 4K displays, but we suppose this is the natural evolution of things given how fast display resolutions have increased over the years.

In addition to the display, the rumors are saying that the Note 8 will come with 6GB of RAM, but that shouldn’t be too surprising as more OEMs are stuffing more RAM into their phones these days. Safe to say you should take this with a grain of salt, but if the rumors are true, the Note 8 is already shaping up to be a beast of a smartphone.
