It is a vicious cycle in which developers and publishers tend to prefer releasing games for platforms that are proven to be in high demand. At the same time consumers tend to prefer platforms in which there are more games to choose from, so sometimes a leap of faith is necessary for both parties.

That being said with EA being one of the biggest video game publishers around, you will be pleased to learn that the company is planning to bring more games onto the Nintendo Switch. During EA’s recent quarterly conference call, the company’s CEO Andrew Wilson stated that they continue to be bullish on the Switch, and that they will be looking at their lineup to see which games that they can bring onto the Switch moving forward.

As it stands, EA has confirmed the FIFA 18 will be one of the titles that they have planned, although previously the publisher did hint that whether or not additional titles will arrive on the Switch is contingent on how well the console performs. However based on this recent statement, it seems that EA is pretty happy with how things are going.

So far the Nintendo Switch has been doing quite well and has sold close to 3 million units since its launch. Nintendo is also rather optimistic about its sales and believes that it even has the potential to match the Wii U’s sales within its first year.
