While it is possible that traditional 3.5mm headphone jacks will be eventually replaced with USB-C/Lightning ports, that future has yet to happen although there have been some smartphone OEMs such as Apple who are trying to get the ball rolling. Now it looks like OnePlus could be throwing their support behind the initiative as well.

In a report from Priceraja, they have posted two alleged photos of the upcoming OnePlus 5, and they show off some pretty interesting features (or lack thereof). As you can see in the photo above, it shows off the alleged bottom portion of the OnePlus 5 and from what we can tell, there is no headphone jack, that is unless they have decided to put it on the top.

The other photo shows the back panel of the phone which pretty much confirms what we’ve seen so far with the dual camera setup. However we should point out that while these photos look similar to what we’ve previously seen, the latest leaks do not show off the antenna breaks on the phone.

We’re not sure if these photos are of a dummy unit or prototype, or if the earlier photos were a prototype, or maybe one of these photos is wrong, but regardless you should take it with a grain of salt. The OnePlus 5 is said to be released this coming summer and if the rumors are true, it could be the company’s most expensive handset to date.
