Earlier this year, EA confirmed that they will be releasing Star Wars Battlefront 2, given that the first title was somewhat of a success, it makes sense that they’re following up with a new title. Not to mention with the release of the Star Wars movie at the end of the year, safe to say that the Star Wars hype is still very much happening.

That being said, it seems that EA has started to send out invites to a closed alpha of the game. This is according to posts on NeoGAF in which users are confirming that they have received emails from EA informing them that they can participate in them. We are not sure how gamers are chosen, whether it’s because they have played other EA games before, or if they’ve pre-ordered the game, or if they’re part of some kind of list, but basically it looks like the closed alpha is kicking off on the 29th of June.

It does not appear to have an end date, according to gamers, but last we heard, EA confirmed that the game would be getting a beta as well, so if you’re not part of the closed alpha, perhaps you could try your luck for the beta. That being said with it being in alpha stage, it means that there is still quite a bit of work left to be done.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently scheduled to be released later this year on the 17th of November.
