In 2017 alone, HMD Global has launched quite a new Nokia-branded handsets, but it seems that the company isn’t quite done yet. Several months ago we heard that the company had as many as 4 addition devices they planned to release by the end of the year, and that one of them is a low-end Nokia 2 Android smartphone.

Now thanks to a tweet by famed and reliable leakster Evan Blass, renders of the upcoming Nokia 2 have been leaked online. In terms of design the Nokia 2 doesn’t look like anything special and is rather standard as far as smartphones are concerned, although we have to admit that it does look like a pretty clean and sleek design, so for an entry-level device it’s hard to fault it.

Unfortunately the tweet only revealed the render and not its specs, although a couple of months ago there was a Geekbench sighting that was allegedly that of the Nokia 2, and based on the benchmarks it seems that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset and will come with 1GB of RAM, but that’s as much as we know so far.

There is no word on when the phone will be officially announced, but given that the render does appear to be pretty complete, we reckon it probably won’t be too long until the device is launched.
