When Windows 10 was released and the Edge browser alongside it, one of the gripes users had with it was that it lacked support for extensions which basically allows users to expand on the browser’s functionality. Support has since arrived and the good news is that if you’re after a password manager, 1Password’s Edge extension is now available as well.

We should point out the fact that prior to this, LastPass on Edge was already available, but if you’ve always been a 1Password user then this should come as good news, especially if you’ve been meaning to make the switch to the Edge browser. The extension will work like any other 1Password browser extension, so if you’ve used it on Chrome or another browser before, you shouldn’t have any issue with it.

However as noted on the Microsoft Store, “1Password browser extension for Microsoft Edge requires 1Password for Windows 6.7+.” So if you haven’t downloaded and installed it already, you’ll have to in order to get it to work, but if you have, then head on over to the Microsoft Store to download the extension for the Edge browser.

Also if you didn’t already know, 1Password is not free. The password manager will cost users $2.99 a month for a single-user, or $4.99 a month with support for up to 5 family members. Other than that both offer the same features where you get 1GB of cloud storage, access across all devices, automated syncing, and more.
