It’s not uncommon for us to hear reports suggesting that Samsung’s next flagship smartphone is going to be released ahead of schedule. That’s what he hear almost every year when a new flagship device is around the corner. These reports are now coming in for the Galaxy S9. Another report out of South Korea claims that Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy S9 in January.

It was also reported last week that Samsung is going to showcase the Galaxy S9 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 in January but it’s going to release the handset later.

Recent reports are also suggesting the same thing. Samsung is now expected to show off its new flagship smartphone at the annual trade show in Las Vegas come January.

Samsung has apparently made this decision as it wants to compete more effectively against Apple and the onslaught of Chinese OEMs that are eating into its market share.

The report even claims that the LG G7 is going to be launched earlier than expected, with LG unveiling the handset in January next year.

Neither Samsung or LG have confirmed that their next flagship smartphones will be launched ahead of schedule so until there’s concrete information to go on, take these reports with a grain of salt.
