Not much is known about Sony’s upcoming Uncharted movie, save for its director which was confirmed last year to be Shawn Levy. As for who will be starring in it, earlier this year it was suggested that Spider-Man: Homecoming’s actor Tom Holland could be playing the role of Nathan Drake, but nothing official has been announced yet.
However if you wanted more evidence that Holland could indeed be in the Uncharted movie, a Twitter user who goes by the name Cade Onder has recently discovered a video (via Comicbook) uploaded onto Holland’s Instagram account. The video has since been taken down, but it basically shows Holland playing Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on his PS4, in which he captioned the video by saying, “For research purposes”.
Seems like Tom Holland is officially locked in as Nathan Drake, as of earlier this year it sounded like there was some question about it.
Could be filming in 2018? pic.twitter.com/kaMinvzypP

Like we said, Sony has yet to confirm anything, but this teaser certainly does suggest that Holland has indeed landed the role, unless of course he is simply trolling us. It is an interesting choice as Holland is considerably younger than Nathan Drake in the game, but it could be that the movie will feature a young Nathan Drake.
There is still no release date set for the Uncharted movie, but last year Levy expressed his desire to complete filming it by the end of 2017, meaning that its release will be in 2018 at the earliest.
