Many of us at some point during a movie regretted ordering a large drink, or having that spicy noodles for dinner, because unlike at home where you can easily hit the pause button, there is no pause button in the cinemas, at least not unless the entire cinema collectively agrees to wait for you while you run to the bathroom.

However the good news is that there is an app called “RunPee” (iOS, Android) that basically tells you when is the best time to visit the bathroom during a movie. Basically since not every scene in a movie might be considered integral to the plot, there are some moments that you can use to go relieve yourself and come back and not necessarily be too lost.

The app will list sections in movies that it doesn’t think is important to the overall plot, and will provide a very vague description of it so as to prevent spoilers, so at the very least users will have some idea of what it is. This information is all user-submitted based on reviews, so your mileage may vary since we guess some people consider some parts important, while others don’t.

“RunPee” is by no means a new app per se, but with Star Wars: The Last Jedi now showing in cinemas, and considering that it will be the longest Star Wars movie in the franchise to date, perhaps this app could come in handy if you’re hoping not to miss any pivotal moments.
