Right now Apple’s iPad lineup consists of the iPad mini, the iPad, and the iPad Pro. However could there be a new iPad in the works? According to a recent tweet by the editor of iHelpBR Filipe Esposito, there were some clues found inside of the beta of iOS 11.3 that seems to suggest that there could be a new iPad in the works.

Within the beta, it was discovered that there are references made to a “modern iPad”. We suppose any iPad launched in 2018 could be considered “modern”, but the way it sounds seems to be hint that it could be designed to separate itself from the rest of the iPads, or maybe we could just be reading too much into this.

However it should be noted that there have been rumors to suggest that Apple’s iPads could be getting overhauled in terms of design. It is said that it could adopt a similar design to the iPhone X in which it will feature much thinner bezels (as it stands the iPad’s bezels are pretty thick), and that it could also come with Face ID.

However there was no mention if the new iPads could adopt OLED displays or continue to use LCDs, but we have a feeling that it could be the latter. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll have more details soon.
