For those who have been following the 2018 iPhone rumors, you might have heard how Apple could introduce two new models to the lineup this year in addition the the 5.8-inch iPhone X. The rumors claim that we will get a 6.5-inch iPhone X and a smaller 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD instead of OLED screen.

Whether or not those rumors are true remains to be seen, but thanks to a video posted by journalist Shai Mizrachi that was shared with 9to5Mac, alleged dummy units of the phones are captured on video. Now it is unclear as to how Mizrachi managed to get his hands on the dummy units, but note that these dummy units don’t necessarily confirm any of the rumors (although 9to5Mac does vouch for Mizrachi’s credibility).

It is possible that the dummy units were created based purely on speculation, but there is also the off-chance that they could be based on insider information. However taking it at face value, the dummy units do give us a hint as to how big the new phones might be. Interestingly enough despite the 6.5-inch iPhone being considerably bigger than the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, the video above shows that both phones are actually pretty similar in size.

This is presumably thanks to the use of the edge-to-edge display that helps reduce the bezels to give the phone a smaller footprint. However like we said, take it with a grain of salt for now but hopefully we’ll have more leaks in the future to look forward to that will hopefully corroborate these claims.
