Last we heard, Epic did state that Fortnite Battle Royale would be launching for Android this summer but until now, no specific dates have been mentioned. However thanks to a report from 9to5Google, it seems that we might have a better idea because according to their sources, Fortnite could be a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 exclusive.

However note that this won’t be a permanent exclusive, but rather it will be a 30-day exclusive which presumably was created to celebrate the launch of the phone. This also gives us a better idea as to when we might be able to expect the game. The Note 9 has been confirmed for a launch on the 9th of August and based on estimates, it could be released on the 24th of August.

Assuming those dates are accurate, it means that Note 9 owners will be able to start playing the game around then, and everyone else will only be able to enjoy it come the 23rd/24th of September. It seems that to get customers to get the Note 9, Samsung is also rumored to be offering up Fortnite-related freebies and bonuses.

This comes in the form of $100-$150 worth of V-Bucks for in-game usage, although those who aren’t interested can actually choose to swap them for a pair of wireless AKG headphones. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but 9to5Google has a pretty decent track record when it comes to these sorts of things, so there is a chance it could be accurate.
