Learning to use technical software can be an intimidating experience, which is why when companies offer users the chance to go for some free lessons, it’s not a bad idea to take them up on their offer. In fact Apple is doing that right now with its Photos app, although oddly enough it seems that these lessons will be conducted over the phone.

According to Apple’s support page, it seems that users will be able to schedule a 30 minutes guided phone session that will teach them how to use the app. “Schedule a 30-minute guided phone session with a Photos expert. You’ll learn how to make all your photos phenomenal with the app’s powerful, intuitive editing tools.”

It adds, “Our specially trained Apple Support Advisors are experts in using Photos to transform pictures from good to amazing — and they’d love to show you how in a 30-minute guided phone session.” Users will be paired with an “expert” who will be able to tailor the session to your skill level.

We suppose the upside to this personalized training is that it will be catered to what you want. For example Apple points out how users can ask trainers to teach them about certain tools that they are interested in using, which could come in handy if that’s all you’re after. Unfortunately this 30 minute guided session will only be available to those in the US, so sign up at Apple’s website if you’re interested.
