Danish audio company Bang & Olufsen is known for their very unique designs when it comes to speaker and audio products. While most companies would be more than happy to trot out your typical speaker design, Bang & Olufsen typically goes the other way with some pretty far out ideas, and the Beosound Edge is one of them.

The Beosound Edge is Bang & Olufsen’s latest set of speakers which as you can see in the photo above, clearly has not been designed to look typical. However it isn’t design for the sake of being unique, but it actually comes with features that take advantage of its unique circular shape, where users can roll it back and forth to increase or decrease volume.

It has also been designed where it can roll back to its original position, meaning that it’s more of a rocking back and forth motion, versus users having to roll the speaker around the room just to adjust its volume.

Of course there are other ways to adjust the volume, but this is one of them. The speaker will feature a 10-inch woofer and a 4-inch midrange, along with a 3/4-inch tweeter on both sides.

There will also be support for AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Bluetooth. As expected of Bang & Olufsen, the Beosound Edge does not come cheap as it is priced at $3,500 and will be going on sale mid-November.
