With so many smart speakers in the market today, customers are really spoilt for choice. However for those looking for a new Google Assistant-powered speakers, Harman Kardon might have something for you as the company has recently taken the wraps off their latest smart speaker – the Citation 500.

In terms of specs, the speakers will support 24Bits/96Khz High Definition audio streaming. It will also feature a full color LCD touch panel on top of the speaker. The idea is that will allow users to interact with the speaker while also allowing apps to be run on it, although judging by the size it doesn’t seem like it will be similar to devices like the Amazon Echo Show which has a larger screen, or Google’s Smart Displays which also bear larger screens.

The speakers will also feature Google Assistant, so whatever Google Assistant can do, it can do on these speakers. This means setting meetings, reminders, alarms, checking the news and the weather, and also controlling smart home appliances. It should be noted that this isn’t Harman Kardon’s first smart speaker.

Previously the company launched the Harman Kardon Invoke which is a Cortana-powered smart speaker. It’s ironic that despite the company being owned by Samsung that they have yet to produce a set of Bixby-powered speakers.
