HMD Global has released a new update for the Nokia Camera app that ships with its Nokia-branded devices. The stock app is quite powerful in terms of the features that it offers and several new features have been added through the update today. Nokia Camera now offers Motion Photos, Google Lens, and more.

Fans had also been waiting for the Pro Camera mode from Lumia handsets of years past. HMD listened to their feedback and brought back the Pro Camera mode to the Nokia Camera app in an update released earlier this year.

The latest update adds comprehensive support for Google Lens and Google Motion. Google Lens allows users to do more with photos. They can copy text like phone numbers and dates, find out more about landmarks, and search books, music, albums, and more.

Motion Photos is another Google feature that has been added to the app. It’s now integrated within the Nokia Camera app so it’s easily accessible. It lets users capture a couple of seconds of motion alongside still images which can then be converted into a video or GIF as need be.

The updated Nokia Camera app is live now and available for download from the Google Play Store.
