Marvel fans have been quite excited about the cinematic arrival of another character from the comic universe. The Captain Marvel movie has been in development over the past year and is due to be released in March 2019. The first Captain Marvel trailer has been released today. It was shared this morning on Good Morning America and we finally get our first proper look at Brie Larson playing the role of Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel.

There’s always a lot of anticipation and hype for a new Marvel movie but fans have been particularly interested in this movie as it will set the stage for Avengers 4, the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War which has left many questions that are yet to be answered.

Captain Marvel will be the only Marvel Cinematic Universe title to be released before the Infinity War sequel arrives. Captain Marvel is set for release on March 8th, 2018.

What’s unclear at this point in time is how much the movie will be linked with Infinity War directly as it’s set in the 1990s which is even before the events of the first Iron Man movie. What we do know is that Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is going to have a major role in the upcoming movie.
