More companies are starting to ditch the headphone jack these days, even those who had staunchly held out for as long as they could have started to follow the trend as well. This has led to the rise of wireless headphones, and a popular trend we’re seeing these days are “true” wireless earbuds, such as the AirPods.

It turns out that Huawei has something similar of their own, thanks to a post by WinFuture.de in which renders of the Freebuds 2 Pro earphones have been leaked. As you can see in the render above, if they are indeed upcoming Huawei products, it seems that the company has opted for a design similar to that of the AirPods, where the earbuds feature long “stems” and also a similar looking charging case.

However in terms of functionality, the Freebuds 2 Pro might have an edge, in which the case itself supports Qi wireless charging. This means that you can charge it on wireless charging pads, something that Apple had been rumored to do as well. However on top of that, it seems that the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro will be able to double up as a wireless charging station as well, meaning that you can actually use your phone to charge the headphones!

Huawei has recently confirmed that they will be hosting an event on the 16th of October in which presumably these devices will be announced, so check back with us then for more updates.
