Disney had previously confirmed that Marvel will be part of its upcoming streaming service that is expected to launch in 2019. Now according to a report from Variety, more details have been revealed in which it has been reported that some Marvel heroes will actually be getting their own series on the streaming service.

If the report is accurate, it seems like Loki and Scarlet Witch are amongst some of the heroes from the MCU to get their own series. Now this isn’t the first time that Marvel has launched TV series of their own. In fact a deal at the moment with Netflix has produced several Marvel-related TV series.

However one of the main differences is that these series will actually use the actors who played those characters in the movies. This means that we can expect to see Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen reprise their roles as Loki and Scarlet Witch respectively, but on the smaller screen. Variety’s sources are also claiming that Disney will be investing heavily into these series, with a budget expected to rival major studio productions.

It will be interesting to see how these series will turn out and how they might expand on the MCU, a massive empire that Disney and Marvel have undertook. Either way we’ll probably have to wait a bit as Disney’s streaming service is only expected to be launched in 2019, so until then take it with a grain of salt.
