Dance Dance Revolution is pretty much a staple at almost every arcade that you go to. We’re sure many have seen the crazy videos of people dancing along at impossible speeds with perfect accuracy, and now it looks like we could be getting a Dance Dance Revolution movie, according to a report from Deadline.

According to Deadline, they have described the movie as, “The project will explore a world on the brink of destruction where the only hope is to unite through the universal language of dance.” It sounds rather dramatic for a game that has pretty much no storyline of its own, but then again we guess that leaves it open for anyone to create something.

For those who are thinking that this sounds a bit silly, we should point out that there was actually a movie made about Emojis, and it managed to earn over $200 million with a budget of $50 million. Plus there are also movies like the Step Up franchise that have been pretty successful, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that this movie could be successful as well.

At this time of writing there is no indication of who might be directing the movie, who will be starring in it, or when it will be released, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
