It was widely reported prior to Microsoft’s recent hardware event that it’s going to launch new models of the Surface Laptop, Surface Studio, and the Surface Pro 6. It did just that last week and took many by surprise when it also launched the Surface Headphones. It has now confirmed the launch date for its new headphones. The company had initially said that they will be shipping “in time for the holidays.”

The Surface Headphones are over-ear, wireless, and noise-canceling. Microsoft promises premium sound in addition to adjustable noise cancellation. This lets users control just how much outside noise then want to bear when they have the headphones on.

There’s a dial on the left rear cup which can be turned to adjust the noise cancellation. A dial on the right side is used to adjust the volume. There’s support for hands-free voice commands as well since “Hey Cortana” functionality is built-in. The touch controls on the ear cups can be used to pause or skip tracks. The USB-C connection is used to charge the headphones and they can provide 15 hours of use on a single charge.

The company has updated its listing for the Surface Headphones to confirm when customers will be able to pre-order them and when they will start shipping. Pre-orders open on November 15th and ship on November 19th. The Surface Headphones are priced at $349.
