Last month Samsung confirmed that they will be finally taking the wraps off its smartphone with a foldable display this year. However the company did not confirm when exactly it might be shown off, but now it looks like we might have a date to look forward to as Samsung has announced and confirmed its Samsung Developer Conference for the 7th & 8th of November.

The post was made on Twitter where the company confirmed the event for next month, and while Samsung did not explicitly mention the foldable phone, the announcement was accompanied by a short teaser video in which it seemed like they might have teased that the foldable phone could be making an appearance (see the video below).

However we should point out that while the phone could be unveiled next month, it might not necessarily be going on sale just yet. Some are claiming that Samsung might only unveil the phone just to share their progress and that it still might not necessarily be ready to go on sale this year, so don’t get your hopes up about buying one just yet.

The device is said to sport a display over 7-inches and can be unfolded and transformed into a tablet, which actually makes a lot of sense. Either way it will be interesting to see what Samsung might have in store for us so check back with us in the next couple of weeks for the details.
