As far as smart speakers are concerned, Apple’s HomePods are priced at the higher-end side of things, which isn’t surprising considering that Apple products are usually priced at a premium. However if you are hoping to get your hands on the HomePod but don’t want to pay full price, you’re in luck.

This is because Apple has recently added the HomePod to its refurbished section of its online store. Based on the listing, it seems that you’ll be able to grab a HomePod in either a space gray or white finish for $300. This is $50 off the regular price of the HomePod which is priced at  $350.

Admittedly at $300 it is still one of the more expensive smart speakers in the market today, but we suppose now that it is $50 cheaper it should make it slightly more appealing. However should note that these are refurbished speakers, meaning that they aren’t brand new. These are devices that have been used and returned to Apple, although being refurbished it also means that they’ve been cleaned up and had any defects fixed.

This makes the device almost brand new, so if you’re the type that doesn’t really care about whether an item has been preowned, then perhaps this could be for you. That being said, you might want to move fast as refurbished items aren’t always necessarily available in the configuration that you want as this largely depends on the items that are being sent back.
