For those who grew up watching Disney’s animated movies, you might recall that back in 1941, Disney launched a movie called Dumbo which is based on an elephant who has abnormally large ears that allowed him to fly. We’ve seen quite a few Disney movies get the live-action adaption treatment, and now it looks like Dumbo is next.

Disney has since released a trailer for the upcoming movie which is currently scheduled for a release on the 29th of March, 2019. The movie will star the likes of Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, Finley Hobbins and Nico Parker. From what we can tell based on the synopsis in the trailer and also from what we can see, there are some differences between the live-action movie and the original animation.

However for the most part, the overarching theme and story does seem to be quite similar, with some characters from the original movie, such as Timothy Q. Mouse, not being present and seems to be sort of presented by the two children in the live-action version. Like we said, Dumbo is one of the latest Disney animated movies to get the live-action treatment.

Prior to this we saw live-action adaptations of Disney movies such as Beauty and the Beast, the Jungle Book, and in 2019 we can also expect to see the live-action version of the Lion King, a live-action Aladdin, and 2020 will see the release of the live-action Mulan.
