We’ve all accidentally sat on our devices before, and for the most part most of them escape unscathed. However with Apple’s new iPad Pro, you might want to check to make sure you don’t sit down on it because based on a test conducted by JerryRigEverything, it appears that Apple’s new iPad Pros bend pretty easily.

In the video above, JerryRigEverything puts the iPad Pro through the usual durability tests. For the most part the iPad Pro holds up pretty well. It isn’t extra durable or anything and is pretty standard as far as its scratch resistance is concerned. However what caught our attention is the durability of the frame of the tablet, where it seems that without too much effort, JerryRigEverything managed to snap it in half.

This means that should you accidentally sit on it especially on a hard surface, your iPad Pro might not survive. Also what’s equally worrying is how the Apple Pencil seems to easily snap into two like a regular pencil. Given the price of the Apple Pencil, we reckon that you’ll probably want to take extra care of it and not just simply toss it into a bag.

Overall we reckon that the durability of the iPad Pro shouldn’t really concern users too much. The device was never marketed as being rugged to begin with, but what we’ve seen in the video, perhaps investing in more rugged protection might not be such a bad idea.
