With the launch of the Nintendo Switch, the company opted to launch a new Zelda game with the console in the form of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The open concept of the game and the new graphics made it a huge hit, where the attachment rate of the game with the Switch was very impressive.

We have heard rumors that Nintendo could be working on a new Zelda game for the Switch, but it also seems that in the meantime, Nintendo could be looking to bring older Zelda titles onto the console. This was apparently revealed by the franchise’s producer and director Eiji Aonuma who hinted at the possibility of Skyward Sword arriving on the Switch.

This was revealed during a Legend of Zelda concert that was held in Osaka, Japan. While Nintendo or Aonuma has yet to confirm the reports, this is apparently something that many fans who attended the concert are claiming, so until we get the official word, maybe it’s best to take it with a grain of salt for now.

Skyward Sword was released back in 2011 where it was launched on the Wii. While the game had its moments, there were many who criticized it due to its heavy reliance on motion controls, which we guess was Nintendo’s way of showcasing what the Wii could do. We’re not sure if those controls will be changed for the Switch version, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
